The Football League Paper's front page splash today (above) suggests eight Championship clubs fancy Peterborough United's Conor Washington. Wolves and Derby want to sign the striker who has been the subject of three rejected bids and FLP say
The Tigers, Reading, Sheffield Wedsnesday and Birmingham are amongst
the interested parties. Washington will cost around £5m with add-ons and
incentives.
Rival news: The Telegraph
say Middlesbrough (and QPR) made enquiries for WBA's Callum McManaman
this week but were quoted £7m for the former Wigan winger.

Steve Bruce told Radio Humberside after the Charlton game that he'd be interested in signing Arsenal loanee Isaac Hayden permanently if the player was open to moving and Arsenal were willing to do a deal.

Done deal: The clearing of the decks in The Tigers U21's continued as Matty Dixon joined York City on a permanent transfer.
The Daily Record have surpassed the previous transfer window nonsense with a claim that Derby County will bid £7m for Andy Robertson.
If City wouldn't entertain any possibility of selling Huddlestone to
The Rams then they definitely won't be sending them a prized asset.

Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet write a feature today on Nicklas Bendtner's travails at Wolfsburg

Birmingham and Sunderland.

The Daily Record have gone a step further on the rumour linking City with Blair Spittal. They claim that The Tigers are "set to test Dundee United's resolve" with a bid of £1m.

for Spanish striker Kike Sola say the Gazette. Sola is 29, plays for
Athletico Bilbao and has a 1 in 5 career scoring record.

The Courier claim City have had young Dundee United midfielder Blair Spittal
watched. Spittal is 20 and will draw comparisons with Tigers' left back
Andy Robertson having also joined Dundee United from Queens Park.
RUBBISH!: The Sun picked up on the Huddlestone story this morning. Steve Bruce has already appeared on Talksport to quash it.
11th January 2016
Tom Huddlestone is being linked with Derby County
thanks to a very dodgy rumour started by one of those terrible "agent"
accounts on twitter. It was picked up by Ian Abrahams from Talksport, added to the Hull Daily Mail gossip column and then picked up by Sky Sports Transfer Centre - crediting the Hull Daily Mail. How crap flies.
Hull
City's U21 side entertained Barnsley at North Ferriby (losing 2-3) and
the teamsheet contained one new name - Icelandic goalkeeper Frederik Scharm. He's 20, an Iceland U21 international and is a free agent having left Danish side Vestsjaelland according to TransferMarkt.
