About

Author: Rick Skelton

I am a Hull City fanatic who has been obsessed with all things black and amber since I attended my first game in February 1987. I was a few months short of my seventh birthday and The Tigers were defeated 2-0 by Portsmouth.

I have been a season ticket holder since 2000 except for a couple of years when in dispute with our former owners.

I have been writing about Hull City as a hobby for the last decade and have written for the Metro, contributed Hull City pieces to the Guardian and Observer and co-hosted Radio Humberside's Sportstalk show on numerous occasions.

I was a part of the "City Till We Die" campaign that proudly ensured the club's identity remained Hull City AFC and subsequently a founder board member of the Hull City Supporters Trust.

I'm also a Level 1 football coach and qualified referee and I serve as club secretary of Hessle Rangers FC.
